Like all our resources this is 100% free for you.But the angel quickly told them not to fear and announced to them the good news of the birth of the Savior, Christ the Lord. The term “Savior†was ascribed to God in the Old Testament. And we find it ascribed to both God (Luke 1:47) ...Now, there's evidence that Luke also wanted to put Jesus's birth during Herod I's reign: Gabriel appeared to Zechariah during it. (Lk 1.5) John's conception is implied to be fairly soon afterward, and Mary conceived Jesus while ...The translation “virgin” of course made Isaiah 7.14 hugely relevant to Matthew's depiction of the birth of Jesus. After all, here's a verse that refers to a virgin conception. True, it's a bad translation—kind of embarrassingly bad, ...(16) From his fullness we have all received, grace in place of grace, (17) because while the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. (18) No one has ever seen God. The only Son, God, ...We can see all this through the birth of Jesus. As the Bible saying “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believe in Him , shall never die but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)” We have already ...faults & failings, that as Asevan explained the birth of Jesus in human form, walking among us over 2000 years ago; with such a LOVE for the entire human race- for all time....... he suffered, died on the cross, was burried- forgiving ...Leah points the way: she looks to God to release her from misery and she gives birth to a son named Judah who points the way toward Messiah. The solution to apocalyptic romance is to find true love in Christ. ...Studies of goddess lore led him also reinterpret the genealogy of Jesus, and rewrite the Gospels. In the historical novel King Jesus (1946) he presented Jesus as a sage and poet, and rejected the mystical Virgin Birth doctrine. ...I don't either our focus is supposed to be celebration of the birth of Jesus! This past year i actully went to church and stayed for 8 hours straight, to pray and worship(by myself) Also Easter, even as a christian i still don't ...
The Islamic view of Jesus lies between two extremes. The Jews, who rejected Jesus as a prophet, called him an imposter, while the Christians, on the other hand, considered him to be the son of God and worship him as such. Islam considers Jesus to be one of the greatest and most forbearing of prophets, in addition to Noah, Abraham, Moses and Muhammad, may God praise them. Jesus is also considered to be the Messiah as well. This is in conformity with the Islamic view of the Oneness of God, the Oneness of Divine guidance, and the complementary role of the subsequent mission of God’s messengers.
The message of God to humanity, which is to worship God and God alone and to live according to His instruction, was revealed to Adam (peace be upon him), who passed it on to his children. All the subsequent revelations to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and, finally, Muhammad are in conformity with that message. Thus, Islam views any contradictions among revealed religions as man-made elements introduced into these religions. The position of Jesus in the three major creeds- Judaism, Christianity, and Islam- is not an exception.
Although the Quran does not present a detailed life-story of Jesus, it highlights the important aspects of his birth, his mission, his ascension to heaven. It also passes judgment on the Christian and Jewish beliefs concerning him. We will look at some of the truths which God revealed about Jesus in the Quran.
Born of a Virgin Mother
Like Christians, Muslims believe that Mary, Maria in Spanish, or Maryam as she is called in Arabic, was a chaste, virgin woman, who miraculously gave birth to Jesus. Jesus’ birth in itself was a miracle in that he had no father. God describes his birth in the Quran as follows:
“And mention in the Book (the Quran), Mary, when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her a spirit from Us, (the angel Gabriel), and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects. She said: ‘Verily, I seek refuge with the Most Gracious (God) from you, if you do fear God.’ (The angel) said: ‘I am only a messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son.’ She said: ‘How can I have a son, when no man hath touched me, nor am I unchaste?’ He said: ‘So (it will be), your Lord said That is easy for Me (God): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (God), and it is a matter (already) decreed (by God).’” (Quran 19:16-21)
This fact, however, does not necessitate that Jesus is divine in essence or spirit, nor is he worthy of worship, for Adam’s existence was more miraculous than that of Jesus. If his miraculous birth were a proof that Jesus was God incarnate or His son, then Adam would have more right over this divinity than him. Rather, both are prophets who were inspired with revelation from God Almighty, and both were servants to Him living according to His commandments.
“Indeed, the likeness of Jesus with God is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said to him: ‘Be!’ and he was.’” (Quran 3:59)
Miracles
Muslims, like Christians believe that Jesus performed miracles. These miracles were performed by the will and permission of God, Who has power and control over all things.
“Then will God say: ‘O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favor to you and to your mother. Behold! I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit (the angel Gabriel) so that you did speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught you the Book and Wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel. And behold: you make out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and you breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by My leave, and you heal those born blind, and the lepers by My leave. And behold! You bring forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to you) when you did show them the Clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: ‘This is nothing but evident magic.’” (Quran 5:110)
God sent all prophets with miracles specific to the nation to whom they were sent to prove the veracity of their message. These miracles were not performed of their own accord; rather, they were only manifest in their hands by God's will. The miracles performed by Jesus were no different. The Jews were well advanced in the field of medicine, and the miracles which Jesus brought were of this nature, proving the truth of His message and in order to convince the Jews.
His Divinity
Muslims believe in the Absolute Oneness of God, Who is a Supreme Being free of human limitations, needs and wants. He has no partners in His Divinity. He is the Creator of everything and is completely separate from His creation, and all worship is to be directed towards Him alone.
This was the same message brought by all prophets of God, including Jesus. He never claimed any qualities
1) Horus was born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a cave/manger with his birth being announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men.
Let’s take this one apart and deal with each separate issue:
Horus’ mother was not a virgin. She was married to Osiris, and there is no reason to suppose she was abstinent after marriage. Horus was, per the story, miraculously conceived. Seth had killed and dismembered Osiris, then Isis put her husband's dead body back together and had intercourse with it. In some versions, she used a hand-made phallus since she wasn't able to find that part of her husband. So while it was a miraculous conception, it was not a virgin birth.
Horus was given three different birthdates in mythology, one of which does correspond to December 25th. But since Jesus wasn't, per the evidence, born on 12/25, this isn't a parallel.
"Meri" (technically "Mr-ee") is the egyptian word for "beloved" and was apparently applied to Isis prior to Jesus' time, as a title, not as part of her name. But since there were probably thousands of women between Horus' time and Jesus' with a name or title that was a variation on "Mary", there's no real reason to suppose that Jesus' mother was named after Isis in particular. Even if, hypothetically, the Gospel authors themselves fabricated Jesus' mother and decided to name her "Mary", it's far more likely that they named her after other women from around their time named "Mary" than it is that they named her after "Isis-Meri"
Horus was born in a swamp, not a cave/manger. Acharya's footnotes for this point only make the claim that Jesus was born in a cave, and say nothing about Horus being born in one.
Horus' birth was not announced by a star in the east
There were no “three wise men” at Horus’ birth, or at Jesus’ for that matter (the Bible never gives the number of wise men, and they showed up at Jesus’ home, not at the manger, probably when Jesus was a year or two old).
Acharya's source for the last two claims appears to be Massey, who says "the Star in the East that arose to announce the birth of the babe (Jesus) was Orion, which is therefore called the star of Horus. That was once the star of the three kings; for the 'three kings' is still a name of three stars in Orion's belt . . . " Massey's apparently getting mixed up, and then the critics are misinterpreting it. Orion is not a star, but a constellation, of which there are three stars in a row making up the belt of Orion. However, there is no evidence that these three stars were called the "Three Kings" prior to Jesus' time, nor even prior to the 19th century, for that matter.
And even if there is a specific star called 'the star of Horus', there's no legend stating that it announced Horus' birth (as the critics are claiming) or that the three stars in Orion's belt attended Horus' birth in any way.
2) His earthly father was named "Seb" ("Joseph").
First of all, there is no parallel between the Egyptian name “Seb” and the Hebrew name “Joseph”, other than the fact that they’re common names. Also, Seb was Osiris’ father, not Horus’.
3) He was of royal descent.
This one’s true! But it's not really a comparison to Jesus. When followers speak of Jesus being of 'royal descent', they usually mean His being a descendent of King David, an earthly king. Horus was, according to the myth, descended from heavenly royalty (as Jesus was), being the son of the main god.
4) At age 12, he was a child teacher in the Temple, and at 30, he was baptized, having disappeared for 18 years.
He never taught in any temple and was never baptized. Also, Jesus didn't 'disappear' in the years between His teaching in the temple and baptism. He worked humbly as a carpenter.
5) Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus or Iarutana (Jordan) by "Anup the Baptizer" ("John the Baptist"), who was decapitated.
Again, Horus was never baptized. There is no “Anup the Baptizer” in the story.
6) He had 12 disciples, two of whom were his "witnesses" and were named "Anup" and "Aan" (the two "Johns").
Horus had four disciples (called ‘Heru-Shemsu’). There’s another reference to sixteen followers, and a group of followers called ‘mesnui’ (blacksmiths) who join Horus in battle, but are never numbered. But there’s no reference to twelve followers or any of them being named “Anup” or “Aan”.
7) He performed miracles, exorcised demons and raised El-Azarus ("El-Osiris"), from the dead.
He did perform miracles, but he never exorcised demons or raised his father from the dead. Also, Osiris is never referred to as ‘El-Azarus’ or ‘El-Osiris’ (clearly an attempt to make his name more closely resemble the Bible’s “Lazarus”).
8) Horus walked on water.
No, he did not.
Christmas is a pagan holiday and Jesus probably hates you for celebrating it. It's clear from the scriptures that Jeuss was not born in winter. The shepherds who saw the angels announcing his birth would not have been out in their fields in december, the Palestinian winter was too cold. The truth is, Christmas evolved from the roman holiday saturnalia, a winter festival where men gave gifts to eachother. They also would get drunk, have sex with each other, and beat their wives. People would act so crazy on christmas the holiday was outlawed by the protestant church until the 1800's.
Look people. If Jesus wanted his birth to be celebrated (or any birthdays at that) it would've been stated in the bible. There is not one bible of any christian or catholic affiliate that states we should celebrate Jesus's birthday, whenever it is. He DID however make known he wanted the passover to be celebrated every year (easter). So why would it be said to celebrate the last meal but not his birthday? Obviously, Christmas is a man made holiday that is generated to make money. (MY OPINION!!)
Christians who celebrate christmas i look forward to hearing your responses.

Written in 1280bc the Egyptian Book of the dead describes the God, Horus…Horus was the son of the God Osiris, born to a virgin mother, he was baptized in a river by Enup the baptizer, who was later beheaded, like Jesus Horus was tempted while alone in the desert, he healed the sick, the blind, cast out demons, and walked on water. He raised Asar from the dead, “Asar” translates to Lazerous, he also had 12 disciples. Horus was crucified, and after three days two women announced Horus (the Savior of Humanity) had risen. In fact the term Horizon comes from the phrase “Horus has risen”.
POINTS TO REMEMBER
Horus was born on Dec 25th of the Virgin Ises Mary, a star in the east accompanied his birth, 3 Kings followed the star to adorn the new-born savior. At the age of 12 he was a prodical child teacher, at the age of 30 he was baptized by Enup, and thus began his ministry. Horus had 12 deciples. He traveled healing the sick and walked on water. Horus was known by many names such as “The Truth” “The Light” “God’s anointed son” “The good Shepard” “The lamb of God”. After being betrayed by Typhon, Horus was crucified, buried for three days, and then was resurrected.
This same account is seen throughout history even before Christ.
Attis of Greece- 1200bc Born on Dec 25th of a virgin, crucified, dead for 3 days, resurrected.
Krishna of India 900bc- Born on Dec 25th of the Virgin Devaki, A star in the East announced his birth, he performed miracles with his deciples, he was crucified and then resurrected.

Mithra of Persia 1200bc- Born of a Virgin on Dec 25th, Had 12 deciplesa and performed miracles, Upon his death was buried for three days then ressurected. He was also referred to as the truth the light.
This same story, with different names and religions, happens through history close to fifty times.
How do Christians explain this?
Horus: Born on December 25 of a virgin. Birth accompanied with a star in the East. The star was followed by 3 kings to locate the new born. Jesus Christ: Born of the virgin Mary on December 25th in Bethlehem, his birth was announced by a star in the east, which three kings or magi followed to locate and adorn the new savior. He was a child teacher at 12, at the age of 30 he was baptized by John the Baptist, and then began his ministry. Here is the proof:
Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary on December 25th in Bethlehem, his birth was announced by a star in the east, which three kings or magi followed to locate and adorn the new savior. He was a child teacher at 12, at the age of 30 he was baptized by John the Baptist, and thus began his ministry. Jesus had 12 disciples which he traveled about with performing miracles such as healing the sick, walking on water, raising the dead, he was also known as the "King of Kings," the "Son of God," the "Light of the World," the "Alpha and Omega," the "Lamb of God," and many others. After being betrayed by his disciple Judas and sold for 30 pieces of silver, he was crucified, placed in a tomb and after 3 days was resurrected and ascended into Heaven.
Horus was born on December 25th of the virgin Isis-Meri. His birth was accompanied by a star in the east, which in turn, three kings followed to locate and adorn the new-born savior. At the age of 12, he was a prodigal child teacher, and at the age of 30 he was baptized by a figure known as Anup and thus began his ministry. Horus had 12 disciples he traveled about with, performing miracles such as healing the sick and walking on water. Horus was known by many gestural names such as The Truth, The Light, God's Anointed Son, The Good Shepherd, The Lamb of God, and many others. After being betrayed by Typhon, Horus was crucified, buried for 3 days, and thus, resurrected
Attis, of Phyrigia, born of the virgin Nana on December 25th, crucified, placed in a tomb and after 3 days, was resurrected.
Krishna, of India, born of the virgin Devaki with a star in the east signaling his coming, performed miracles with his disciples, and upon his death was resurrected.
Dionysus of Greece, born of a virgin on December 25th, was a traveling teacher who performed miracles such as turning water into wine, he was referred to as the "King of Kings," "God's Only Begotten Son," "The Alpha and Omega," and many others, and upon his death, he was resurrected.
Mithra, of Persia, born of a virgin on December 25th, he had 12 disciples and performed miracles, and upon his death was buried for 3 days and thus resurrected, he was also referred to as "The Truth," "The Light," and many others. Interestingly, the sacred day of worship of Mithra was Sunday.
This is proof that he was "borrowed" from ancient writings, if you look at the history God's son was actually a metaphor for the big ball of gas in the solar system called The Sun that rose each morning to take away the darkness, early people refered to the Sun as God's son, he was never born, just a representation.
The angels announced the coming of Jesus, the birth of Jesus, the resurrection of Jesus and the ascension of Jesus. Aren't angels acceptable messengers in the Bible and used several times as such? When the Bible says that Jesus will come with a shout and the blow of a trumpet in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, who will do the shouting and who will blow the trumpet?
I'm sure this has been done to death but I'm curious as to what you think about Jesus sharing so many experiences with other gods. There are around 40 others that share few, or many similarities such as:
♥Virgin birth on Dec. 25th
♠Guided by star in the East (star Sirius)
♣Visited by 3 wise men (3 Kings stars)
♦ Teacher at 12, baptised at 30
♥Mother visited by angel to announce pregnancy
♠12 disciples
♣Walked on water, healed the sick
♦Crucified, resurrected 3 days later
The closest resemblance would be Horus (Egyptian), his entire life is almost exactly like Jesus' from parents Isis-Meri & Jo-Seph to being crucified next to two thieves. Thoughts?

Bitter Truth - Nice catch :D
This is a miracle. My husband grew up in a family where he was shunted aside as the son of his mother by a relationship that never lasted much past his birth. After that guy left her she married a man and had three children with him. That man was really cruel towards my Jamie and when I met him in the 9th Grade I became enraged at the way that man treated him. My wonderful Jamie was always kind to his siblings even though they sometimes piled on him too. He loved his mom but she never tried to defend him against his EVIL STEPFATHER. He had this facial mannerism where he would constantly put his hand to his face as if warding off blows. He also had a terrible twitch and even stuttered a little. Anyway she invited us to a welcoming home party for his second son as he is coming back from Afghanistan. (he's still there but it is scheduled near the end of July). I told her that we wanted NOTHING to do with them and no thanks. She called Jamie directly today and begged his forgiveness for all his suffering at the hands of his stepfather and my wonderful husband said he forgave everyone and said how much he loved her (his mom) and wants her to be a part of our life from now on. Also, his half brother in Afghanistan sent an e-mail and said the party will be as much Jamies as his and said his father (jamie's stepfather) was wrong on how he treated him. The best part is that his deployed brother said that he plans to ask his mom to make the party as much as a welcome home for Jamie as for him. Finally he said that Jamie took all the abuse that would have been heaped on them (the younger siblings) and they "skated" from any abuse because Jamie was their father's "punching bag". He says what Jamie did for them made him as much a "war hero" as anyone serving in Afghanistan.
I want to cry with happiness and feel sooo good. Also, my Jamie is sooo wondderful to forgive and forget. I wish I could learn from him. I love him so much. OH, I'm pregnant and plan to announce it at the party in July. Jamie's seed filled me and left me with a human being that I hope hope hope will take after his wonderful father.
Adam, Abraham, Moses, Samuel, Saul - all heard the voice of God During meditation recently I heard someone -male with baritone/bass- call me by my birth name.I use my middle name normally. It sounded like someone I knew; but culture does not allow this person to use my first names Yesterday while I was responding to an email I heard someone call me by my surname. It sounded like a colleague. We are working on a project and I thought she called my name to announce he presence and get my attention. When I asked her, she said she did not remember being in my area or calling my name. There are times when I hear a knock on the door and think it is a friend or relative, but it is nobody visible.
I can play it safe and not answer when I hear my name or I can answer and discover it is a familiar voice but nobody. I have heard about familiar spirits who observe then imitate. How can I tell the difference? How should I respond? I KNOW I am not hearing things. My problem is hearing but not seeing [manifestation].

Christians, the story of the ancient Egyptian god Horus dates back to before 3000BC, well before any prophecies of Jesus were written, and definately well before Jesus supposedly walked the earth. The list below shows the striking similarities between the story of Horus, and the story of Jesus. Don't you think that the story of Jesus is a direct rip off of the story of Horus, and in fact Jesus never existed and the story of Horus was hijacked by the church in order to serve their own purposes and to start a religion of their own?
1. Both were conceived of a virgin.
2. Both were the "only begotten son" of a god (either Osiris or Yahweh)
3. Horus's mother was Meri, Jesus's mother was Mary.
4. Horus's foster father was called Jo-Seph, and Jesus's foster father was Joseph.
5. Both foster fathers were of royal descent.
6. Both were born in a cave (although sometimes Jesus is said to have been born in a stable).
7. Both had their coming announced to their mother by an angel.
8. Horus; birth was heralded by the star Sirius (the morning star). Jesus had his birth heralded by a star in the East (the sun rises in the East).
9. Ancient Egyptians celebrated the birth of Horus on December 21 (the Winter Solstice). Modern Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25.
10. Both births were announced by angels (this si nto the same as number 7).
11. Both had shepherds witnessing the birth.
12. Horus was visited at birth by "three solar deities" and Jesus was visited by "three wise men".
13. After the birth of Horus, Herut tried to have Horus murdered. After the birth of Jesus, Herod tried to have Jesus murdered.
14. To hide from Herut, the god That tells Isis, "Come, thou goddess Isis, hide thyself with thy child." To hide from Herod, an angel tells Joseph to "arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt."
15. When Horus came of age, he had a special ritual where his eye was restored. When Jesus (and other Jews) come of age, they have a special ritual called a Bar Mitzvah.
16. Both Horus and Jesus were 12 at this coming-of-age ritual.
17. Neither have any official recorded life histories between the ages of 12 and 30.
18. Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus. Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan.
19. Both were baptized at age 30.
20. Horus was baptized by Anup the Baptizer. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.
21. Both Anup and John were later beheaded.
22. Horus was taken from the desert of Amenta up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Set. Jesus was taken from the desert in Palestine up a high mountain to be tempted by his arch-rival Satan.
23. Both Horus and Jesus successfully resist this temptation.
24. Both have 12 disciples.
25. Both walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, and restored sight to the blind.
26. Horus "stilled the sea by his power." Jesus commanded the sea to be still by saying, "Peace, be still."
27. Horus raised his dead father (Osiris) from the grave. Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave. (Note the similarity in names when you say them out loud. Further, Osiris was also known as Asar, which is El-Asar in Hebrew, which is El-Asarus in Latin.)
28. Osiris was raised in the town of Anu. Lazarus was raised in Livanu (literally, "house of Anu").
29. Both gods delivered a Sermon on the Mount.
30. Both were crucified.
31. Both were crucified next to two thieves.
32. Both were buried in a tomb.
33. Horus was sent to Hell and resurrected in 3 days. Jesus was sent to Hell and came back "three days" later (although Friday night to Sunday morning is hardly three days).
34. Both had their resurrection announced by women.
35. Both are supposed to return for a 1000-year reign.
36. Horus is known as KRST, the anointed one. Jesus was known as the Christ (which means "anointed one").
37. Both Jesus and Horus have been called the good shepherd, the lamb of God, the bread of life, the son of man, the Word, the fisher, and the winnower.
38. Both are associated with the zodiac sign of Pisces (the fish).
39. Both are associated with the symbols of the fish, the beetle, the vine, and the shepherd's crook.
40. Horus was born in Anu ("the place of bread") and Jesus was born in Livlehem ("the house of bread").
41. "The infant Horus was carried out of Egypt to escape the wrath of Typhon. The infant Jesus was carried into Egypt to escape the wrath of Herod. Concerning the infant Jesus, the New Testament states the following prophecy: 'Out of Egypt have I called my son.'" (See Point 13)
42. Both were transfigured on the mount.
43. The catacombs of Rome have pictures of the infant Horus being held by his mother, not unlike the modern-day images of "Madonna and Child."
44. Noted English author C. W. King says that both Isis and Mary are called "Immaculate".
45. Horus says: "Osiris, I am your son, come to glorify your soul, and to give you even more power." And Jesus says: "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified
45. Horus says: "Osiris, I am your son, come to glorify your soul, and to give you even more power." And Jesus says: "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once."
46. Horus was identified with the Tau (cross).
Sashmead, all you have to do is look at a translation of the Egyptian book of the dead to see everything that is listed here. Also, drawing of Horus CAN be found in Roman Catacombs. Romans travelled to and from Egypt all the time during Rome's occupation of Egypt. They were obviously coppying pictures that they had seen in Egypt. Are you seriously trying to tell me that someone couldnt have seen something in Egypt and then gone back to Rome and decided to carve it into a catacombe in Rome??!! As far as this list being too long. Typical answer from a Christian!! If you can't read a paragraph or two do you really expect me to believe that you read your own bible and why bother trying to answer my question if you didn't read it.
Badgirlz: There is not one SHRED of evidence that suggests that Jesus ever existed or walked the earth EVER. Just because the bible says it is so, does not make it the truth. The bible was written by men, and the story of Jesus was written decades after his supposed time on earth by people that never even met him. The story of Jesus in your bible is just the story of Horus re written to serve the purposes of those that formed the Christian faith.
Also, I think that perhaps you were trying to say that the story of Horus was influenced by god? That god was somehow trying to pave the way for Jesus by influencing the religion of the Egyptians? Why would your god do this? Why would your god influence a religion that was filled with other gods? Did not your god say thou shalt worship no other gods before me? Horus was not just a person in Egyptian mythology, he was viewed as a god himself. Why would your one god parallel his future sons story in the mythology of another god?
Why oh why would your god put a what you call a prophecy inside another religion. A religion with multiple gods, none of them being the one you worship? Horus was worshiped as a GOD. I never said your god made these gods. IT is obvious that men did. But these men worshiped Horus! Is this not idolatry? Did god not forbid idolatry? Your logic is severely flawed!! My only thought is that you are grasping at straws because you can't face the fact that Jesus did NOT exist, and that his story is just a copy of the story of Horus. Try to explain it away all you want, but all you have to do is read a copy of the Egyptian book of the dead to see how wrong you are. The Etyption book of the dead was written thousands of years before your bible. What makes it wrong and your bible right?
Badgirlz I am sorry but your example is ridiculous and out of context to the question I originally asked.
But let me ask you this. If god is omniscient, omnipotent, perfect, and all knowing like your bible says, than does this not mean that god would have foreknowledge of everything that would ever occur before his very first act of creation? If this is true, than would it not stand to reason that even before god created Lucifer, he would know that Lucifer would eventually rebel against him. If he knew this and created Lucifer anyways, and god is perfect and it would be impossible for a perfect being to make mistakes would it not stand to reason that god created Lucifer with the intent to rebel on purpose? Also, god created Adam and Eve with this foreknowledge. And Adam and Eve had no concept of right and wrong or of good and evil, or of death before they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and bad. Therefore if god knew that they would eat from the tree, did he create
Adam and Eve with the intent for them to eat from the tree? I mean god saw that this would be the outcome even before he created the universe. Yet he did this anyways. Also if god knows the outcome of what is to be, than why go through any of this? Is he just playing a sick game for his amusement? And don't give me all that free will BS either. God NEVER intended Adam and Eve to have free will. They did not know good from bad before they ate from the tree of knowledge and therefore could not have free will without a concept of right and wrong. I mean how can you have the free will to make a choice if you do not know whether that choice is right or wrong. How could you understand that eating from the tree was wrong, if you had no concept of right and wrong. How could you understand that disobeying god on this would lead to death if death did not exist in the garden yet? Please, if you are going to give a hypothetical example, make sure it makes sense.
Believing you are justified in what you are doing, and knowing you are doing something wrong are not the same. Of course Hitler knew murder was wrong, but in his mind he thought he was justified. Hitler had the ability to know right from wrong. The bible clearly shows that Adam and Eve had NO concept of right and wrong BEFORE they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and bad. YOu can try to dance around this issue all you want, but your bible is clear on this. If you think the Genesis story is a metaphor than there are a lot of christians on here that would disagree with you. If it is a metaphor, than one could argue that the concept of a perfect creator being is a metaphor for our own search for lifes meaning and not some real creator. If you believe in the person of Jesus, which I am convinced you do, than you have to believe in a perfect creator god. If you do, than you have to take Genesis at its word.
If you take Genesis at its word than you have to see that my arguments stated above are correct. You say that the bible was written by man, and could have been corrupted or changed by man. There are many on this site who would call for your blood for such blasephemy. They view the bible as the absolute truth. Nothing short of the very word of god, and nothing in the bible could ever be inncorect. You can't have it both ways. Either the bible is correct, or the bible is incorrect. You can pick and choose which parts you think are right and which parts you think might be wrong, just so that you can fit it into your own set of beliefs. I feel I have proven to you how Genesis could not possibly be true, and I have proven how the entire story of Jesus was stolen from the Egyptians. IF you choose to remain blind that is your choice, but at least admit that you are conciously ignoring the facts because they are not what you want to hear.
You even go as far as to say that it is gods plan to perfect us, and that is why he is doing what he is doing. Wouldn't a perfect creator have gotten it right from the start. Weren't Adam and Eve perfect in the begining, living in a perfect garden? Whatever went wrong to change this could only have happened with gods permission. God knows beforehand what will happen. Therefore anything that has ever happened since the moment of creation must be because he has wanted it too. Therefore all the misery, murder, torture etc has happened because he gets off on it. Even original sin, which led to mans expulsion from the garden of Eden is his fault. God is not good. God is more evil than you can imagine.
Badgirlz: Once again you are mistaken. God did not create Adam and Eve as imperfect beings! The bible states that Adam was the first perfect man, and in order to balance out the original sin of a perfect man, another perfect man had to be sacrificed in his stead. That man was Jesus. Jesus was a perfect man, and he was sacrificed to wipe out the imbalance of original sin. If Adam wasn't created perfect than the sacrifice of Jesus would not have been needed. I suggest you go back and read your bible more carefully, without your pre conceptions and take a look at what it actually says, and the implications of those sayings. But I digress, my original statement still stands. The story of Jesus is just a re telling of the story of Horus. Neither Horus, nor Jesus ever actually walked the earth and therefore the entirity of Christianity is false.
The Qur’an tells us a lot of wonderful things about Jesus. As a result, believers in the Qur’an love Jesus, honour him, and believe in him. In fact, no Muslim can be a Muslim unless he or she believes in Jesus, on whom be peace.
The Qur’an says that Jesus was born of a virgin, that he spoke while he was still only a baby, that he healed the blind and the leper by God’s leave, and that he raised the dead by God’s leave.
What then is the significance of these miracles? First, the virgin birth. God demonstrates his power to create in every way. God created everyone we know from a man and a woman. But how about Adam, on whom be peace? God created him from neither a man nor a woman. And Eve from only a man, but not a woman. And, finally, to complete the picture, God created Jesus from a woman, but not a man.
What about the other miracles? These were to show that Jesus was not acting on his own behalf, but that he was backed by God. The Qur’an specifies that these miracles were performed by God’s leave. This may be compared to the Book of Acts in the Bible, chapter 2, verse 22, where it says that the miracles were done by God to show that he approved of Jesus. Also, note that Jesus himself is recorded in the Gospel of John to have said, “I can do nothing of my own authority” (5:30). The miracles, therefore, were done not by his own authority, but by God’s authority.
What did Jesus teach? The Qur’an tells us that Jesus came to teach the same basic message which was taught by previous prophets from God—that we must shun every false god and worship only the one true God. Jesus taught that he is the servant and messenger of that one true God, the God of Abraham. These Quranic teachings can be compared with the Bible ( Mark 10:18; Matthew 26:39; John 14:28, 17:3, and 20:17) where Jesus teaches that the one he worshipped is the only true God. See also Matthew 12:18; Acts 3:13, and 4:27 where we find that his disciples knew him as Servant of God.
The Qur’an tells us that some of the Israelites rejected Jesus, and conspired to kill him, but Allah (God) rescued Jesus and raised him to Himself. Allah will cause Jesus to descend again, at which time Jesus will confirm his true teachings and everyone will believe in him as he is and as the Qur’an teaches about him.
Jesus is the Messiah. He is a word from Allah, and a spirit from Him. He is honoured in this world and in the hereafter, and he is one of those brought nearest to Allah.
Jesus was a man who spoke the truth which he heard from God. This can be compared with the Gospel According to John where Jesus says to the Israelites: “You are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God” (John 8:40).
The Virgin Birth of Jesus
Muslims believe in the virgin birth of Jesus. When the angels announced to Mary (peace be upon her) about Allah’s promise that she will have a son, she was surprised, since she was a virgin. “How can this be?” she thought. She was reminded that it is easy for Allah to create whatever he wills.
She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. If He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is (Qur’an 3:47).
It is not difficult for Allah to do anything he wants. He can create a child with both human parents or only one. No miracle is beyond His power. After all, He had created Adam (peace be upon him) from neither a man nor a woman. He created the rest of us from both man and woman. What is so hard if Allah decides to create a human being from a woman only? He only commands “Be!” and it occurs.
Some people think that since Jesus, peace be upon him, had no human father then God must be his father. The Qur’an rejects this view. The position of Jesus with Allah is comparable to the position of Adam with Allah. Just because Adam had no human parent does not mean we should call him the Son of God.
Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. (Qur’an 3:59).
According to the Qur’an, everyone except Allah are His servants.
And they say: the Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a Son. Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing, whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall to ruins, that ye ascribe to the Beneficent a son, when it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should chose a son. There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave. (Qur’an 19:88-93)
The Miracles of Jesus
According to the Qur’an, Jesus, on whom be peace, performed the following miracles by Allah’s leave:
1. Spoke while he was only a baby.
2. Healed those born blind.
3. Healed the lepers.
4. Revived the dead.
5. Breathed life into a bird made of clay.
In the Qur’an Allah
tells us about the situation on the Day of Judgement:
In the day when Allah gathers together the messengers and says: What was your response (from mankind)? they say: We have no knowledge. Lo! Thou, only Thou art the Knower of Things Hidden.
When Allah says: O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favour unto you and unto your mother; how I strengthened you with the holy Spirit, so that you spoke unto mankind in the cradle as in maturity; and how I taught you the Scripture and Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and how you did shape of clay as it were the likeness of a bird by My permission, and did blow upon it and it was a bird by My permission, and you did heal him who was born blind and the leper by My permission . . . (Qur’an 5:109-110)
Not all of these miracles are recorded in the canonical gospels, the four gospels contained in the Christian Bible
There is not one statement in the Bible in which Jesus says i am God or worship me, and if you find one, Today and today i will baptise myself.
The trinity was a belief made up by the romans and nothing Jesus, peace and blessings be on him taught.
" The Lord is greater than i "
"i can of myown self do nothing"
" i have been sent"
"my lord my lord why have you forsaken me"

Mike, send me an email and will send you the source
In fact anyone can send me an e mail and I will send my sources
OK, I am not attacking, just inquiring about your religion.
I know Muslims believe that Jesus is not the son of God.
However, you also believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, by Mary, announced by the angel Gabriel.
So:
Who is Jesus' father, if it is not God?
1)There are no records of Joseph speaking in the Christmas story.
2)Jesus' ancestors include a prostitute, an adulterer, people who committed incest, and two non-Israelites.
3)The star did not appear above the manger.
4)The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary first and then Gabriel appeared to Joseph.
5)The wise men followed the star as it moved from their eastern land to Israel
6)God sent a choir of chubby angels to announce Jesus' birth to the shepherds.
7) Shepherding was considered a very noble occupation.
8)Both Joseph and Mary were told that the baby was to be named "Jesus."
9)When Herod heard about Jesus he was the only one concerned about this new king.
10)The wise men found Jesus lying in a manger in the town of Bethlehem.
11)After the angels announcement the shepherds went straight to Bethlehem to see Jesus.
12)Joseph married Mary immediately after the angel appeared to him.
13)Some of the shepherds doubted and refused to believe the message they heard from the angels.

Horus/Osiris of Egypt
In the Egyptian myth, Horus and his once-and-future Father, Osiris, are frequently interchangeable, as in “I and my Father are one.” Concerning Osiris, Walker says:
Of all savior-gods worshiped at the beginning of the Christian era, Osiris may have contributed
more details to the evolving Christ figure than any other. Already very old in Egypt, Osiris was
identified with nearly every other Egyptian god and was on the way to absorbing them all. He
had well over 200 divine names. He was called the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, God of Gods.
He was the Resurrection and the Life, the Good Shepherd, Eternity and Everlastingness, the god
who “made men and women to be born again.” Budge says, “From first to last, Osiris was to the
Egyptians the god-man who suffered, an died, and rose again, and reigned eternally in heaven.
They believed that they would inherit eternal life, just as he had done . . .”
Osiris’s coming was announced by Three Wise Men: the three stars Mintaka, Anilam, and
Alnitak in the belt of Orion, which point directly to Osiris’s star in the east, Sirius (Sothis),
significator of his birth . . .
Certainly Osiris was a prototypical Messiah, as well as a devoured Host. His flesh was eaten
in the form of communion cakes of wheat, the “plant of Truth.” . . . The cult of Osiris contributed
a number of ideas and phrases to the Bible. The 23rd Psalm copied an Egyptian text appealing
to Osiris the Good Shepherd to lead the deceased to the “green pastures” and “still waters” of the
nefer-nefer land, to restore the soul to the body, and to give protection in the valley of the shadow
of death (the Tuat). The Lord’s Prayer was prefigured by an Egyptian hymn to Osiris-Amen
beginning, “O Amen, O Amen, who are in heaven.” Amen was also invoked at the end of every
prayer.
As Col. James Chruchward naively exclaims, “The teachings of Osiris and Jesus are wonderfully alike. Many passages are identically the same, word for word.”
Osiris was also the god of the vine and a great travelling teacher who civilized the world. He was the ruler and judge of the dead. In his passion, Osiris was plotted against and killed by Set and “the 72.” Like that of Jesus, Osiris’s resurrection served to provide hope to all that they may do likewise and become eternal.
Osiris’s “son” or renewed incarnation, Horus, shares the following in common with Jesus:
--Horus was born of the virgin Isis-Merion December 25 in a cave/manger with his birth being announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men.
--His earthly father was named “Seb” (“Joseph”).
--He was of royal descent.
--At at 12, he was a child teacher in the Temple, and at 30, he was baptized having disappeared for 18 years.
--Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus or Iarutana (Jordan) by “Anup the Baptizer” (“John the Baptist”), who was decapitated.
--He had 12 desciples, two of who were his “witnesses” and were named “Anup” and “Aan” (the two “Johns”).
--He performed miracles, exorcised demons and raised El-Azarus (“El-Osiris”), from the dead.
--Horus walked on water.
--His personal epithet was “Iusa,” the “ever-becoming son” of “Ptah,” the “Father.” He was thus called “Holy Child.”
--He delivered a “Sermon on the Mount” and his followers recounted the “Sayings of Iusa.”
--Horus was transfigured on the Mount.
--He was crucified between two thieves, buried for three days in a tomb, and resurrected.
--He was also the “Way, the Truth, the Light,” “Messiah,” “God’s Anointed Son,” “the “Son of Man,” the “Good Shepherd,” the “Lamb of God,” the “Word made flesh,” the “Word of Truth,” etc.
--He was “the Fisher” and was associated with the Fish (“Ichthys”), Lamb and Lion.
--He came to fulfill the Law.
--Horus was called “the KRST,” or “Anointed One.”
--Like Jesus, “Horus was supposed to reign one thousand years.”
Furthermore, inscribed about 3,500 years ago [1500 years before Jesus’ alleged advent] on the walls of the Temple at Luxor were images of the Annunciation, Immaculate Conception, Birth and Adoration of Horus, with Thoth announcing to the Virgin Isis that she will conceive Horus; with Kneph the “Holy Ghost,” impregnating the virgin; and with the infant being attended bh three kings, or magi, bearing gifts. In addition, in the catacombs at Rome are pictures of the baby Horus being held by the virgin mother Isis—the original “Madonna and Child.” As Massey says:
It was the Gnostic art that reproduced the Hathor-Meri and Horus of Egypt as the Virgin
and child-Christ of Rome . . . You poor idiotai, said the Gnostics [to the early Christians],
you have mistaken the mysteries of old for modern history,
I was reading similar questions on Y!A and found out that most Christians on this website already know that the Trinity doctrine evolved after 325 years from the birth of Jesus Christ.
Why do you think that this doctrine is still popular? Do you think that time will come and one day the Church will drop this doctrine and announce that there is only one Almighty God who sent Jesus Christ?
Personally, I see it more of a pagan doctrine. I am more inclined to believe in what Judaism and Islam said about the existence of only one God.
OSIRIS:
He came to fulfill the law.
Called "KRST," the "Anointed One."
Born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a cave / manger, with his birth announced by a star and attended by three wise men.
Earthly father named "Seb" (translates to "Joseph.")
At age 12 he was a child teacher in the Temple and at 30 he was baptized, having disappeared for 18 years.
Baptized in the river Iarutana -- the river Jordan -- by "Anup the Baptizer," who was beheaded. (Anup translates to John.)
Traveled widely, taught men and "tamed them by music and gentleness, not by force of arms" [Plutarch]
Performed miracles, exorcised demons, raised El-Osiris from the dead.
Walked on water.
Betrayed by Typhon, crucified between two thieves on the 17th day of the month of Athyr.
Buried in a tomb from which he arose on the third day (19th Athyr) and was resurrected.
His suffering, death, and resurrection celebrated each year by His disciples on the Vernal Equinox -- Easter.
Called "The Way, the Truth, the Light," "Messiah," "god's Anointed Son,' the "Son of Man," the "Word made Flesh," the "word of truth."
Expected to reign a thousand years.
The story of Osiris originated in Egypt thousands of years before the supposed "historical Jesus".

Some of these answers are so embarasing
Each year as Christmas draws near I notice more and more people refusing to use the words “Merry Christmas” opting instead to say happy holidays. Just last month while returning home from out of town I read a billboard which announced the upcoming “Holiday Parade”. Honestly I don’t know how I’m supposed to get excited about a holiday pageant when its promoters purposely leave out the word that explains the principle reason for celebrating. I mean what are we celebrating anyway, consumerism? If that’s the case then this year is no cause for a celebration.
The word “Holiday” is a contraction of holy and day, and its true meaning and use has a religious connotation. That is to say, the word is generally used to describe special days of rest which are observed by Israel, God’s people, as handed down from God through Moses (see Leviticus chapter 23). And even though today this word is more commonly used when referring to vacation time taken from work, this doesn’t change in any way it’s original and weightier meaning.
So, I put this question to you; as more and more people begin to realize the true meaning of the word “Holiday”, will they then begin to say Happy Winter Solstice Day instead?
In Spanish when wishing someone a Merry Christmas we say, Feliz Navidad. The word feliz of course means happy, and navidad is from the Latin natividad which when translated to English is, nativity. Many other cultures allude to the birth of Jesus Christ when wishing someone well over the holidays, and its meaning is prominently mentioned in the language and clearly recognized as the principle reason for celebrating the season. Is it so wrong to believe in a merciful God that sent His only son to die hanging from a tree so all the peoples of the Earth can enjoy a relationship with Him? Is it so wrong that nonbelievers should justify efforts to remove any reference to the Christ even when said belief is guarantied protection under the law by our Constitution? Oh but it’s ok to believe in a bearded elf that lives in the North Pole and once a year delivers gifts, which he carries in a great bag set upon a sled drawn by flying reindeer, to all the inhabitants of the Earth. So how about it then, will you say Happy Winter Solstice Day? And while your thinking about this…
Is there really cause for a mid-winter celebration; for which ancient cultures also celebrated some form of god or gods and connected the winter solstice to their beliefs in birth and rebirth by the way? And, is the change from lengthening nights to extended periods of day light a good enough reason to run out and purchase gifts, food and wine? People all over the globe are willful consumers and except for our egocentric wants, we don’t need a good reason to spend money, we do it year round. So I say, if not the birth of Jesus Christ, why bother celebrating anything at all? This year spread some good cheer and wish someone a Merry Christmas! Seek out the truth and may God Bless You!
EXAMPLES OF RELIGIOUS BIRTHS ON DECEMBER 25TH BESIDES THAT OF JESUS:
Krishna, of India, born on December 25, his mother was a virgin, mother's name was Maia. The name Krishna means Black or Dark. His uncle, Kamsa, the ruler at the time of his birth sought to kill him (Krishna) because he had heard a Prophecy that Krishna would overthrow him. Krishna escaped death by being smuggled out of the area to safety (sounds like Herod and Jesus does it not?).
Mithra, of Persia, born on December 25, his birth was witnessed by Shepherds that brought gifts to honor him. He was styled as a Mediator between God and Man. Witness this quote from the Encyclopedia Encarta,
"Mithraism was similar to Christianity in many respects, for example, in the ideals of humility and brotherly love, baptism, the rite of communion, the use of holy water, the adoration of the shepherds at Mithra's birth, the adoption of Sundays and of December 25 (Mithra's birthday) as holy days, and the belief in the immortality of the soul, the last judgement, and the resurrection. Mithraism differed from Christianity in the exclusion of women from its ceremonies and in its willingness to compromise with polytheism. The similarities, however, made possible the easy conversion of its followers to Christian doctrine"
Horus, of Egypt, born on December 25. His mother, Isis, gave birth to him in the swamp, she was warned by the god Thoth, to flee and conceal the child from the evil Set. Set had killed the father of Horus, whose name was Osiris, and sought to kill Horus, |also. Isis was able to keep Horus hidden from Set, till he (Horus) grew to manhood. Horus sought to avenge the murder of his Father, and made war against Set, and defeated him.
Buddha, of India, born on December 25, his mother's name was Maya (similar to Mary) she was a virgin. He was immaculately conceived, and at birth, he announced that he was a savior to the world. His birth was announced by a star. At his birth, he was visited by Wise Men who declared that they had seen Signs of his birth, that is to say, signs of the royal birth (coincidence?).
Beddou (Fot), was a god of the orient born 1027 BC, his mother was a virgin, he was born of royal blood. The king sought to kill him at birth, because he felt the newborn infant posed a future threat to his Throne. The god child was saved by shepherds, and lived in the desert till he reached the age of thirty, at which time he commenced teaching his spiritual doctrine to that religion.
Quetzalcoatl, a god the Western Hemisphere, was born of a virgin. He sojourned in the wilderness, fasted forty days. Was crucified. He was variously represented as the God of light that struggled against the god of darkness called Tezcatlipoca.
Hercules, son of the god Zeus, predestined by birth to inherit the throne of Argos. Hera, the jealous wife of Zeus desired the throne for another and sought to delay the birth of Hercules, and subsequently tried to kill Hercules while in his crib, by sending two snakes to strangle him. Hercules killed the snakes, though he was less than a year old. Later, He was sent away to the countryside where he became a shepherd.
Attis, of Phrygia, his mother was a virgin, her name was Nana. He was a shepherd, and reported to have died by self emasculation under a pine tree. He was alleged to have risen from the dead at Easter i.e. The vernal Equinox.
Tammuz was hailed as the only begotten son of the god Ea. His mother was a virgin, by the name of Ishtar. As an infant he was hidden in a chest by Aphrodite, the goddess of love and entrusted to Persephone, the goddess of the nether world. Persephone later opened the chest, and was so stricken by the beauty of the babe, that she refused to return the child to Aphrodite. The two goddesses fought each other for possession of the child, till finally the god Zeus mediated the matter, and declared that the child shall spend half it's year with Aphrodite and the other half in the nether world with Persephone.
ALL THESE BIRTHS WHERE BEFORE JESUS WAS BORN RESEARCH IT YOUR SELF IM NOT TRYING TO CHANGE PEOPLES BELIVES BUT WHAT IS THE POINT IS WASTING THE ONLY LIFE YOU GET FOLLOWING THE RULES OF SOME GOD JUST TO HAVE A CHANCE TO HAVE A GOOD ''AFTERLIFE''
no one has to read all of it just one would do.
Most Christians in the western world celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25 called Christmas Day. The Eastern Orthodox Church celebrate His birth on January 7 for they still use the Julian Calendar.
As the story goes, Jesus was born in Bethlehem located just south of Jerusalem. The account of Luke (Chapter 2) says that there were some shepherds who were spending the night in the fields, keeping watch of their flocks, when an angel appeared to them. The angel announced to them the birth of Christ the Lord in David’s town (Bethlehem) which they found to be true.
We know that December in Israel is cold and wintry. There may not even be grass in the field for the flocks to feed on. Is it likely that shepherds would be in the fields at night at this time of the year just to look after their flocks?
If you think that Jesus was not born on December 25, when could He possibly have been born?
1. Pagan Yule Festival (winter solstice) is now celebrated as Christmas and the birth of Jesus
2. The Christian Cross symbol has its foundations in Paganism
3. Some Christian traditions say that Jesus died and was resurrected on March 23 and March 25, which coincide with the death and resurrection of the Greek deity Attis
4. There are various similarities between Horus, ancient Egyptian God and Jesus, which include:
* Both resisting temptation
* Both 30 years old at baptism
* Both crucified an accompanied by two thieves
* Both descended to hell and resurrected after around 3 days
* Both births witnessed by shepherds
* Both births announced by angels
* Both of royal descent
* Herut tried to have Horus killed, Herod tried to have Jesus killed
* Both baptisers beheaded
* Both buried in tombs and death announced by women
* Both God-man status
* Both share similiar symbols of shepherd's crook, vine, beetle and fish
* Both births heralded by stars
* Both only son of God or Osiris

We all know there have been a lot of predictions over time that the world is going to end, how many more does there have to be before everyone accepts the fact that it isn't going to happen? Here are a few:
Failed prophecies:
About 30 CE: The Christian Scriptures (New Testament), when interpreted literally, appear to record many predictions by Jeshua of Nazareth (Jesus Christ) that God's Kingdom would arrive within a very short period, or was actually in the process of arriving. For example, Jesus is recorded as saying in Matthew 16:28: "...there shall be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." In Matthew 24:34, Yeshua is recorded as saying: "...This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Since the life expectancy in those days was little over 30 years, Jesus appears to have predicted his second coming sometime during the 1st century CE. It didn't happen.
About 60 CE: Interpreting the Epistles of Paul of Tarsus literally, his writings seem to imply that Jesus would return and usher in a rapture during the lifetime of persons who were living in the middle of the 1st century.
About 90 CE: Saint Clement 1 predicted that the world end would occur at any moment.
2nd Century CE: Prophets and Prophetesses of the Montanist movement predicted that Jesus would return sometime during their lifetime and establish the New Jerusalem in the city of Pepuza in Asia Minor.
365 CE: A man by the name of Hilary of Poitiers, announced that the end would happen that year. It didn't.
375 to 400 CE: Saint Martin of Tours, a student of Hilary, was convinced that the end would happen sometime before 400 CE.
500 CE: This was the first year-with-a-nice-round-number-panic. The antipope Hippolytus and an earlier Christian academic Sextus Julius Africanus had predicted Armageddon at about this year.
968 CE: An eclipse was interpreted as a prelude to the end of the world by the army of the German emperor Otto III.
992: Good Friday coincided with the Feast of the Annunciation; this had long been believed to be the event that would bring forth the Antichrist, and thus the end-times events foretold in the book of Revelation. Records from Germany report that a new sun rose in the north and that as many as 3 suns and 3 moons were fighting. There does not appear to be independent verification of this remarkable event.
1000-JAN-1: Many Christians in Europe had predicted the end of the world on this date. As the date approached, Christian armies waged war against some of the Pagan countries in Northern Europe. The motivation was to convert them all to Christianity, by force if necessary, before Christ returned in the year 1000. Meanwhile, some Christians had given their possessions to the Church in anticipation of the end. Fortunately, the level of education was so low that many citizens were unaware of the year. They did not know enough to be afraid. Otherwise, the panic might have been far worse than it was. Unfortunately, when Jesus did not appear, the church did not return the gifts. Serious criticism of the Church followed. The Church reacted by exterminating some heretics. Agitation settled down quickly.
1000-MAY: The body of Charlemagne was disinterred on Pentecost. A legend had arisen that an emperor would rise from his sleep to fight the Antichrist.
1005-1006: A terrible famine throughout Europe was seen as a sign of the nearness of the end.
1033: Some believed this to be the 1000th anniversary of the death and resurrection of Jesus. His second coming was anticipated. Jesus' actual date of execution is unknown, but is believed to be in the range of 27 to 33 CE.
1147: Gerard of Poehlde decided that the millennium had actually started in 306 CE during Constantine's reign. Thus, the world end was expected in 1306 CE.
1179: John of Toledo predicted the end of the world during 1186. This estimate was based on the alignment of many planets.
1205: Joachim of Fiore predicted in 1190 that the Antichrist was already in the world, and that King Richard of England would defeat him. The Millennium would then begin, sometime before 1205.
1284: Pope Innocent III computed this date by adding 666 years onto the date the Islam was founded.
1346 and later: The black plague spread across Europe, killing one third of the population. This was seen as the prelude to an immediate end of the world. Unfortunately, the Christians had previously killed a many of the cats, fearing that they might be familiars of Witches. The fewer the cats, the more the rats. It was the rat fleas that spread the black plague.
1496: This was approximately 1500 years after the birth of Jesus. Some mystics in the 15th century predicted that the millennium would begin during this year.
1524: Many astrologers predicted the imminent end of the world due to a world wide flood. They obviously had not read the Genesis story of the rain
Baby's 'miracle' recovery in British hospital to give Malta its first saint
The testimony of a British surgeon about the "miraculous" recovery of a baby has helped pave the way for the canonisation of Malta's first saint.
Anil Dhawan, a professor of paediatric hepatology at King's College Hospital, London, told The Daily Telegraph yesterday that there was no scientific explanation for the recovery of a Maltese boy with "devastating" liver failure.
Dr Dhawan was speaking for the first time about his evidence to a Roman Catholic church tribunal, which investigated whether the child's improvement could be ascribed to Blessed George Preca, a 20th century Maltese priest who died in 1962.
A glove that had touched the body of the priest was placed on the boy by his parents, both devout Catholics, as he lay in a critical condition in King's College hospital nearly six years ago.
The "miracle cure" has been declared genuine by the Vatican and Pope Benedict XVI will canonise Blessed George in Rome in 11 days' time.
Dr Dhawan, who is leading research into whether liver cell injections can replace transplants, said: "There was a 90 per cent plus chance that he wasn't going to survive without a liver transplant. But he survived.
"Furthermore, he improved on his own. Acute liver failure in children is quite a devastating illness. The majority of them die. Scientifically I do not have an explanation for this child's recovery."
Dr Dhawan said that he felt "privileged" to be involved in the canonisation, adding that he would be flying out to Rome for it. The boy, who has not been identified, developed severe liver complications just days after his birth in July 2001.
He was examined in Malta but his condition was so grave that he was transferred to King's College Hospital, the home of the world's largest and most expert paediatric liver centre.
On July 14 doctors concluded the baby would die if he did not receive a new liver. The boy's family prayed to Blessed George, who was renowned for his "simplicity, humbleness and meekness". On July 20 his liver started to function normally and within another four days the baby no longer required a transplant.
According to church sources, the boy is now a healthy five-year-old. In July 2002, a tribunal was set up to study the case. It heard the evidence of 38 witnesses. In February this year, the Pope announced Blessed George would be canonised.
Three steps to glory
The process of canonisation begins with an investigation into the person's character, after which they can receive the title "Venerable".
One miracle is required for beatification, which brings with it the title "Blessed", and two for canonisation as a saint.
Miracles are cures that cannot be explained, which are "organic, immediate and irreversible".
Which statement, if any, about the Gospels is false, based on the textbook, lectures, Scriptures?
A. The term "Gospel" can also be expressed as "good news" in English. The underlying Greek is evangelion. From this comes the English words: "evangelist" (one who announces the good news and seeks to win converts to it); "evangelism" (the activity of announcing the good news and seeking converts to it).
B. The Gospels do not all begin with accounts of Jesus' conception, birth, and visitors to him as a child..
C. Modern scholars think that one or more of the Gospels may have been written by: those whose names are associated with them, by secretaries taking dictation from them, by disciples of those whose names are associated with the Gospels. This differs from what had been previously thought to be true for centuries by Christians: each Gospel was written by the person whose name is associated with it.
D. The Gospels according to Luke and Mark are attributed to men who were not among the original Twelve Apostles of Jesus.
E. Paul, who wrote many of the letters in the New Testament, is not among the original Twelve Apostles of Jesus in Matthew's Gospel.
1. Only B is false. 2. All are true.
3. Only A is false.
4. Only C is false.

milley u r ready to belive some crap writen by a man on this website than to belive the creator, who gave you this life and comfort of life and still u dont trust him. so sad
According to Matthew 2:6, when the angel announced the birth of Jesus, he said that from Mary a Governor would come to rule over Israel. And to be a conqueror. Then, that he would be the son of God, although many scoff of the idea. Then, he left us Christianity whose universality is without challenge, and whose roots lay deep in Judaism.
A 3-ft.-high tablet romantically dubbed "Gabriel's Revelation" could challenge the uniqueness of the idea of the Christian Resurrection. The tablet appears to date authentically to the years just before the birth of Jesus and yet — at least according to one Israeli scholar — it announces the raising of a messiah after three days in the grave. If true, this could mean that Jesus' followers had access to a well-established paradigm when they decreed that Christ himself rose on the third day — and it might even hint that they they could have applied it in their grief after their master was crucified. However, such a contentious reading of the 87-line tablet depends on creative interpretation of a smudged passage, making it the latest entry in the woulda/coulda/shoulda category of possible New Testament artifacts; they are useful to prove less-spectacular points and to stir discussion on the big ones, but probably not to settle them nor shake anyone's faith.
Your opinions please?

TRACMA_INTERNATIONAL_TASK_FORCE@yahoogroups.com
TRACMA was a Filipino self-made Consolidated Martial Arts. The styles and techniques of which was founded by the only as yet Filipino Fourteen (14 )
degree Red Belt Master Trovador R. Ramos Sr.who was internationally recognized and acclaimed
Master Trovador successfully was able to re-establish the worth of the filipinos
through unbearable endurance,self- discipline, sacrifices and willfull determination that can equate and stand out over the world famous Martial Arts experts in terms of skills, talents and ability.
He believed that there was always a room for improvement and endeavoured to develop his self-defense knowledge, which he inherited from his grandfather' s clan, whom were all exponents of sports in their prime days.he painstakingly analyzed, evaluated and modified every movement and step to give it a more rewarding effect in its inflictions and defense.
A foretaste of his efforts was realized in his hometown at San Antonio,Zambales wherein his first gym was stablished.Martial Arts enthusiast from all over the fourteen towns of Zambales, overwhelmi ngly surged to his gym to learn the art and enlist as student/members. The art spread like a wild fire. Thus,he was recommended and personally was asked to teach TRACMA at the near-by-bases.
Master Trovador was hired as the Chief Instructor Of Martial Arts at the US Naval Base namely in San Miguel Navy Radio Station and in Subic Bay in 1961,together with the US Naval Security Department-Uniform Guard Chief Capt.Andy Cascante, being appointed by Master Trovador as the Administrator of TRACMA,the Olongapo gym was organized. It was followed by another one in Pampanga, then in Tarlac, then in Pangasinan and way up to Baguio City. All of each gym on different places had an assigned trained and qualified instructors through the recommendation of Capt.Cascante. And this is where and how the Master/Founder came to know the Administrator, who also became his good friend.
The established gyms and it's members were named "D'Invincibles" ,because of its aim to train only on gaining friends and did ways with enmity. It had justified the group for logically saying "One knows not of defeat when he has an enemy".Thus, Master Trovador had the opportunity to have personally met several world reknown Martial Arts Experts, such as Karate,Taekwondo, Judo,Aikido and many other self-defense groups in the Base, whom all earned their rank and belt from different foreign countries. To their surprise, they merely turned dull-rats and sluggish when faced and tried by only student beginners of Master Trovador. And because of this, frequent invitation was extended to him to lecture and demonstrate on board ships as a Civilian US Navy Martial Arts Instructor on a Temporary Additional Duty. This had made him saw several places in the world possible. And the most frequent question asked to him was on what/which book or where his art was acquired. With the humility and with a smile,he explained that such forms could not as yet be found on any bookfor it was personally developed and consolidated by him.
Mr.Teddy Halper, the 1956 World Champion Of International Real Combat,in his capacity as head of the World Reasearch on Martial Arts and Education and World Authority Consultant on Real Combat studied TRACMA's art. After thorough and careful evaluation of the Filipino Martial Art Instructor's knowledge, agility, skills, technique s and ability,he then awarded and vested him the title which all of Mr.Halper's staff concurring, the "fourteen ( 14 ) Degree Redbelt Master".
He decided to legalized the introduction of his self-made Consolidated Martial Arts for official recognition after returning from his duty on TAD order(Temporary Additional Duty).Authoring it's operation,he organized a non-stock corporation and called it the "international Real Combat Judo-Karate Organization" under Sec No.36882 on Nov.25,1968. He then gave birth the recognition of Filipino Martial Arts'in the country.
The Philippine Karate Association (PKA)was also formed in 1970 and thinking that Master Trovador's organization was also a karate group, they listed it as a member of the formed PKA subjecting it under their leadership, laws and regulations. Master Trovador then vehemently with tact and humility objected and appealed to the PKA Secretary Atty.Jesus P.Arino.Sr.
1.That his founded Martial Arts was a self-made style and technique. Not Copied from any foreign Martial Arts. It's obviously very different in many ways from that of Karate which was an art form that originated and introduced by a foreign country.
2.That the self-made art of the Founder was already established and had proven supremacy and effeciency in several parts of the world where it has been accepted, acknowledg ed,respected and adopted as the Filipino Martial Art,and that it has already one hundred ninety seven (197) branches that had been organized outside of the philippines.
3.That to accept subordination and/or membership under Karate,a Foreign Martial Arts in the Philippines, is a disgraced and discriminationto the Filipinos and to the Republic of the Philippines. It could also degrade the Filipino Master/Founder who already had sacrificed unbearable time and efforts in his founded art's upliftment that required not only acknowledgement and respect, but also recognition on it's supremacy and efficacy above many other Martial Arts.
4.That it's name recorded in the Security and Exchange Commision was given to show due respect to the world organization of Mr.Teddy Halper, who awarded Master Trovador his present title and degree. It did not meant that it was a part of the Karate Association. Karate was merely a tiny part of the Filipino Consolidated Martial Arts and should not therefore, and in any sense of justice, fall under or to subordinate it to any foreign Martial Arts.
Then Master Trovador finally decided and resolved the confusion by renaming it as "TRACMA".It did not carry the previous listed members under the non-stock organization and also primarily avoided all who were dropped out for non-participation and obvious disinterest to the group as well as those who did not kept in touch with the Founder for the last six (6) or more years.
TRACMA Promotions was then formed.it was approved by the Bureau of Domestic Trade of the Philippine Under B.D.T.Cert.of Registration No.0141/77 and a B.D.T.Provincial Cert.No.P.76/ 13772 was issued to continue it's operations legally.
TRACMA was anTherefore acronym for Trovador Ramos Consolidated Martial Arts. Therefore, its proper, wise and fitting to know more of the Filipino Founder in order to fully visualize the evaluation of it's significance and entirely.
The Founder was likewise a professional musician. And after leaving his US Navy Civilian job as Chief Instructor,he travelled with his brothers, who were also all musicians, with an aim to earn and pursue the global recognizance of his founded Martial Arts.He established gyms in all the places he went up to.Slowly, but with wilfull determinations, the Founder courageously hurdled and surpassed all of the countless rival resentment and odds triumphantly. His tactful and friendly approached had paid off effectively. All those who opposed and confronted him,one after the other, accepted their defeat and fell on to his aide. His safe and constructive method was sincerely shown and the interest for their behalves was proven by actual efficacy of Master Trovador's art.And with this,he gained their respect and acknowledgement for his art's Mastership supremacy. They vowede down to him and submitted themselves under his tutorship and proudly adopted TRACMA as their choice of Martial Arts.
HongKong was not different to all these places in the Fareast that the Master/Founder had been to.In fact,it was where he met so many challenges that gave him the limelight break to popularity.HongKong was not only an oen port, but was also a creamy melting spot for relaxation that invigoratingly invited the world noted Martial Arts Expert to converge and domicile.
With the tide in favor of the Master/Founder and perhaps with lady-luck on his side,he unmolestedly proven the strength of his friendly and tactful approaches. He showed with ease the supremacy of his founded art to whomever confronted him. This had boosted his personality and his name became an epitome and by word of so many Martial Arts Experts who have tried and accepted his Mastership.
Then one afternoon, the late world famous movie action star,Mr.Bruce Lee,whom in real life was an acclaimed International Martial Arts expert
uninvited, visited Master Trovador. With evident curiousity and obvious intent to try the fast rising Filipino Martial Arts Master, the chinese action star challenged Master Trovador very tactfully. And on pretext of the game Mr.Lee wished to warm up nd invited anyone in the gym to try and fight with him. Mr.Lee,being an international figure and celebrity, aside from being a Chinese Martial Art Idol,is a very respected man, thus,no one dared to accept the challenge. And with countless avid fans in addition to so many media men, camera men and movie personalities whom were always following him,so many people witnessed that event. The Filipino Master had no alternative but to oblige to protect the prestige and image of his founded art for his gym's respectability, for his member's moral, for the pride of the Filipinos as a whole and for honour to his country, the Republic of the Philippines.
Together with all those people around him and those who believed and supported in his invincibility, Mr.Lee's superb fighting speed, knowledge and agility had made him over confident.Master Trovador,on the other hand, had that equalled timing, guilful defenses and counters that kept him unperturbed by human opinion. Both started with great confidensed and it was actually the audience whom visibly showed worriness than excitement of the sparring's result.
The Filipino Master's dynamic sportmanship and professionalism however, prevented the would be most embarassing position and unmendabledisgraced of the famous Chinese Action Movie Star.Instead of subduing Mr.Lee,which obviously could have been easily done,Master Trovador caught the Chinese Actor's fall twice and with out an attempt to inflict a blow.He vowede to signify his desire to put an end in the worthless sparring in cognizance in the Martial Arts Master especially in an official sport fighting.
Master Trovador delightfully amazed all with his scientific and perfect timing, thwarting with case and beauty of Mr.Lee's all out efforts of attack with lightning speed and agility which resulted in vainglory.
He could have won and done it with all the justification in the book, but he would just be creating an untoward feeling among the Chinese followers or perhaps eighty percent (80%)of the HongKong Chinese population who loved and idolized Mr.Lee.He then signalled the Chinese Action Movie Star to stop the fight and was gladly acknowledge. In return out of gratitude,Mr. Lee loudly announced that his main purpose at the gym was not to challenge Master Trovador nor sar with him but to offer him a good role and be a part of his forth coming movie entitled "Enter The Dragon".
They received thunderous applauses and both became good friends.however, the offer was later turned down tactfully in the interest of preserving Filipino Prestige, ego and principles.Neverthe less,Mr.Lee requested to Master Trovador to teach him some routines to use in another movie productions to be filmed entirely in Italy, which was entitled "The rhythm Man",named after Master Trovador's perfect rhythm and timing. He was then recognized as Bruce Lee's
coach.Unfortunately ,the Chinese famous Action Star's untimely death shattered the realization of the said film.
Amazingly,an American Producer of Pan Asia Movie Production was one of those who witnessed the sparring of the two Martial Arts Experts and offered Master Trovador a directorial action job in his company. It was a shining oppurtunity to once more further the expansion of the Filipino Martial Arts, inspite of the monitorial meagerness, compared to that of Bruce Lee's offer which he turned down politely, the Founder readily accepted the offer.
He went with the company to so many places in the world, directing action portions and also acting when giving an important and good role to play. This likewise made possible the establishment of TRACMA's gyms in so many places in the world. And made TRACMA a legend etched a deep in history never to be oblitarated that members distinguished it with pride and honor, worth of the highest quality to preserve.
Master Trovador returned back as well polished movie star and was offered to do so several chinese action movies on which some where box office record grosser in japan,Australia and several place in the world. Then a Filipino producer of a certain movie outfit met Master Trovador in Hongkong and offered him to make a movie in the Philippines. "The Redbelt Master" which earned him for the first time, acceptance and cognizance in the movie world of his own country after working at many foreign movies. And another offer came in promptly."Sandugo" ,which was a top grosser. Then it was followed by the "Big Fist" that made him stay in the Philippines a little longer.
In support to a Presidential Decree No.604 in 1975 at this juncture, the Inc's Nation Wide Development of Sports and Physical Fitness Program decided then that TRACMA art be nationally adopted. It was not because the Master/Founder was a brethren of good standing but due to it's high degree of choice in it's development program and fervent nationalistic support.
Aware of the officers significance, Master Trovador happily accepted and regarded it as another challenge whether he could once more stand out in terms of leadership dynamism. To ascertain a resounding success,he stayed in the country for a couple of years to oversea the establishment of TRACMA schools and nationwide teaching for the interest of his country and fellow filipinos.
After a while,Master Trovador continued his career in the music world as a Musical Director in Hong Kong.Aside from his high paying job in the music industry,he still continued teaching TRACMA.And beacuse of his greatness in the art, countless people of a new batch registered to him as a student of TRACMA.
Being one of the pioneer brethren of the INC in Hongkong,Master Trovador assisted on establishing a locale in the country and congregate worship services. He actively participated in the Kowloon Locale being one of the officer and even becoming the Head Deacon.
Then Master Trovador met Mr.Roger Boschman,an INC member, who is also an exponent and an ardent lover of Martial Arts. The two became good friends.Mr.Boschman eventually studied and learned TRACMA.With great appreciation and high regard to TRACMA's art and especially to the Master/Founder, Mr.Boschman, together with Master/Founder Trovador and Administrator Capt.Cascante, agreed and got together and pursued the revitalization of TRACMA.Thus, on April 24,1988 TRACMA World Wide
FEDERATION as registered in Hong Kong with Master Trovador Ramos Sr. as the Founder/President and titular head and Mr.Roger Boschman as the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer. However, Capt.Andy Cascante was still the International Consultant/Adviser and managed TRACMA PROMOTIONS in the Philippines nation-wide, it was later on re-registered as Philippines TRACMA World Wide.
In 1988,Mater Trovador's two youngest children came to HongKong to study. The opportunity that his children were there enabled him to upgrade the teaching of TRACMA to them. His youngest son Trovador A.Ramos Jr. or James as they call him and his youngest daughter Lyrabelle A.Ramos or simply Lyra to them, learned
fast and well. Thus, when both acquired Black Belt, they were officiated by Mater Trovador as instructors. Although Lyra concentrated on the level of administrative, James on the other hand actively trained the TRACMA students and pursued on to a higher belt and earned the title of 8th Degree Black Belt.
Then in 1992,Cathay Pacific Airlines,an internationallly acclaimed commercial airline company in HongKong, contracted TRACMA to teach Consolidated Martial Arts Techniques to all it's Pilots,Flight Attendants and Management Team. The teaching and training took place in the gym of the Cathay Pacific Building near the Kai Tak (old) Airport. With the personal supervision of Master Trovador, this deal was done and administered by James and Lyra.Aside from their regular training of forms, they developed the Cathay employees alertness/rediness and fast adaptation to crucial situation in line of duty and had provided Special anti-hijacking Training Course
Using the bible as a reference, guilt lays the ground work.
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?”
“the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live” (Ecclesiastes 9:3).
Then you have to convince the sheeple that your religion is the only way to save yourself from eternal torment.
"I am the way the truth and the life; NO MAN cometh unto the Father BUT BY ME." -- Jesus Christ (John 14:6)
All you have to worry about is that your followers may learn that what you tell them is not original.
OSIRIS – EGYPT: He came to fulfill the law. Called "KRST," the "Anointed One." Born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a cave / manger, with his birth announced by a star and attended by three wise men. Called "The Way, the Truth, the Light," "Messiah," "god's Anointed Son.
Historically, how did the church manage to keep followers?
So what is the truth and how do you prove it is the truth?
on 1994 (if I'm not mistake) the ex Pope, John Paul II announced the truth behind Christmas.
he said that it's true Christmas is a pagan culture. and then, we all have seen enough proves like there's no shepherds or stars on December, there's no single word in Bible that said Jesus was born on December.
So, why are u Christian still celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus? Dont u affraid u've celebrated the Pagan fest.?
isn't it a sin if u act like a pagan?
