When a television network celebrates (and financially reward) a grossly oversized family, is it responsible television?

The Earth has many finite resources, and many scientists claim that Earth cannot sustain a infinitely growing human population. The cost of raising just one child is a huge financial investment that requires hundreds of thousands of dollars to accomplish. The fans of large families argue that the actual cost goes down the more children are introduced to the family, but is this true?

Many conservatives argue that it is a basic human right to have any size family that a couple wishes, but often times these same conservatives bristle when they hear of illegal immigrants exercising this "basic human right" and having as many new US citizens as they can muster.

Who is right?

TLC, the network obsessed with freak show proportioned families, features The Duggars, an Arkansas family excited to announce they are expecting their 19th child.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar "star" in TLC's '18 Kids and Counting,' and they spread the news on Meredith Vieira's NBC morning show, saying they were "so excited about our new arrival."

Michelle, 42, is three-months gone in her pregnancy.

Perhaps taking a play out of Kris Kardashian's name strategy, the couple have given their near double football team names that all begin with "J."

What are your opinions? I personally say that as long as the kids are being taken care of, they can afford them, then they should be allowed to have as many children as they see fit, I wouldn't ever choose to have 19 children that to me is just insane, but to each their own.
